When Does ‘When Calls the Heart’ Return? Season 13 Release Info & What’s Changing in Hope Valley

Change is on the horizon in Hope Valley, but not just for its characters. After the Season 12 finale aired in March 2025, Hallmark officially confirmed that When Calls the Heart will return for a 13th season.

“It is an honor to tell stories of hope, resilience, humor, and romance that continue to resonate with millions of viewers for twelve seasons and beyond.”

But Season 13 brings more than just new episodes — it marks a leadership shift behind the scenes.

New Showrunner at the Helm

Joy Gregory, who was already part of the family as a writer and executive producer in Season 12, is stepping up to become the new showrunner. He's taking the reins from Lindsay Sturman, who expertly guided the show through Seasons 10 to 12.

Gregory is no stranger to heartfelt storytelling and character-driven drama, so fans can expect a smooth — and possibly even refreshing — transition.

Is ‘When Calls the Heart’ on Hallmark Tonight? (April 13 Update)

Not this time. On April 13, Hallmark aired Hearts Around the Table: Kiki’s Fourth Ingredient from 7:00–9:00 p.m. ET, followed by an episode of The Chicken Sisters titled “This is War, Y’all.”

So if you tuned in hoping for a trip back to Hope Valley, you’ll have to wait a little longer.

When Will Season 13 Premiere?

Although no official premiere date has been announced yet, signs point to an early 2026 return.

Here’s why:

• 8 of the last 10 seasons debuted in March or earlier
• 7 of those premiered no later than February 24
• Hallmark announced the renewal right after the March 23 finale

So, if history repeats itself, Season 13 will likely debut in February or March 2026 — just in time to warm hearts during the winter season.
