Donnie Wahlberg, known for his time with New Kids on the Block, has transformed his image from a bad boy to a devoted family man. He has two biological sons and a stepson, Evan Asher, from his marriage to Jenny McCarthy.

Wahlberg and McCarthy seamlessly blended their families, with all the boys becoming close like brothers. Wahlberg is incredibly protective of his entire family, especially his sons.

Evan, who has autism, recently released his first song, "It Doesn't Matter," with the help of his stepfather and stepbrother. Evan wrote the lyrics, while Wahlberg and his stepbrother Elijah helped with the music. Wahlberg even served as the song's executive producer.

Initially, Evan wasn't planning to sing his own song. However, with encouragement from Wahlberg and Elijah (a vocalist in a band), Evan gave it a shot. Elijah helped Evan feel comfortable performing the music he created.

When it came to filming the music video, the boys turned to Wahlberg, who is now a filmmaker, for guidance. Wahlberg expressed immense joy in helping his sons bring their creative visions to life.

He emphasized that Evan earned his success. Nothing was handed to him – he had to work hard to prove his song's merit. Wahlberg couldn't be prouder of Evan's accomplishment.

From Stepfather to "Dad"

When McCarthy, a single mom navigating the challenges of raising an autistic son, met Wahlberg, their lives changed for the better. They prioritized getting to know each other and ensuring their children bonded before taking their relationship further.

However, both knew they'd found their soulmates. The turning point for Evan calling Wahlberg "Dad" came on the day Wahlberg proposed to McCarthy. Evan presented McCarthy with cards spelling out "Will You Marry Me?" followed by Wahlberg entering the room with a shirt reading "Me?"

McCarthy tearfully said yes, and Evan exclaimed, "I have another dad!" The heartwarming moment solidified their bond as a family. Evan even had the honor of walking McCarthy down the aisle at their wedding.

For McCarthy, the wedding was extra special because she had her son by her side during such a momentous occasion, and their strong bond with Wahlberg filled her with emotion.
